i thought about it for my bike....i used that stuff in my diesel. its good oil...try it out and see what happens!

 

i know when i had my raptor i ran it and did fine. a lot of the big bore/stroker guys ran it and loved it to so looks like ill give it a try

Been running it in my CRF. No complaints... I've run the 5/40 synth in my DRZ for a while now with no problems either

 

I'm another one who's run it in the tranny side of a CRF. I've done it for 4 years in my MX bike with no problems all the gears look like new, and I've replaced the clutchh once since '05 (and it didn't need it yet).

 

ima start running rotella next oil change.

 

i run it in both my crfs motor/trans. i change after every race though.

 

I worked fine as the only oil in my v-strom and it has 105,000 miles

 

That's actually the oil Rekluse recommends for their clutches. Once they told me that I put in all my bikes. Good stuff and cheap too.

 

Been using it in my wr250x since new, little over 8,700 miles now.

 

i run rotella in all my bikes and cars its a great oil and it has zync in it. little particals that bond to moving parts. instead of wearing your motor out it wears the particals first so it makes your engine parts last alot longer..:thumbup:

 

Damn, no more $30 oil changes for me. :bannana:

 

what weight do you guys think is the best,think 15w40 would be alright

 

I changed to 50wt synth in my DRZ and it not only quieted down the noisy motor, it lasts longer before the tranny chews it up. FWIW

 

no more motul for me. I'll give it a shot.

 

I have a three cases of 0W-40 AMSoil that I purchased on a close out sale for $20 a case. Any way of using that stuff in a SM610.

 

i ran Rotella in my KTM625 once and it was fine. it's what i run in my R1, CBR, and Ninja 250....it's been great.

 

if im not mistaken i think thats just a straight 40 weight then isnt it

 

I've been running 10w30 rotella T since my first oil change on my 06 xr650L with 15,000 miles. It doesn't use any oil and the clutch feels just as good as the day I bought it. I wouldn't put any other oil in my bike.

 

I've run it before with no problems whatsoever. I even heard over on KTMtalk that the KTM factory team uses it in their race bikes...

3yr cr125 beat the piss out of never any top end work still ran as good as the day i got it.

3yr crf450r no issues

and running it in the supermoto now too

i have no complaints both 2 and 4 cycles

I run the 15w40 in my 07 DRZ400sm. Got the bike with 1650miles and changed the oil with rotella. Changed it again at 2K miles to make it easier to remember the "scheudle" and its been fine. Bike has 3100 on it now and runs like a champ

 

where are you guys getting the Rotella from and how much per quart? I have been using Spectro Gold semi synth 20w-50 since I have had my DRZ. The Spectro is like $12 / quart though!

 

1 gallon/4 quarts of rotella is 12 bucks at wal mart. so basically 4 bucks a quart. not to shazzy i dont beleive.anybody know a good place to get cheap oil filters for our bikes

 

Rotella is JASO MA certified, just like all the high-end synthetic motorcycle race oils. Just don't go too far from the recomended weight on your bike. Oil that's too heavy will not flow through the small parts and tight tolerances like it was designed to...

 

cheapest oil filter you can buy is a SS Metal screen one in my opinion as its washable and reusable so its a lifetime filter. also a metal filter is rated at a certain micron size so that is the size of partical it will stop unlike a paper filter which is rated at a percentage of stopped particles at a set micron size. now everyone has thier own opinion on this but ehhh you asked for the cheapest and if you use it for a lifetime its definatly the cheapest lol

Pretty much what everyone else have been saying. I have used 15w40 Rotella in my DRZ and CBR always. No complaints...
