I am looking to get started in supermoto and was wondering if any one makes a 250 4-stroke? I want to start with a smaller bike and work my way up. Anyone know of such a bike or have a suggestion? Thanks

Honda and Ktm make 250 4-strokes a couple of others as well, then all you need to try supermoto is a set of street tires that fit your stock rims. that is the cheapest way, then after a few laps and you're grinning ear to ear you can acquire the rest of the supermotard equipment. Get your slide ON!!!
If you have experience you might be better off to just go with a 450 or somthing first since investing a lot of money in a 250 you will sell and wont get your money back out of is not the best financial decision if you think its going to be somthing you will be replacing
Thanks everyone. I have some track experience so maybe a DRZ400SM may make more sense. I am looking for something that I can ride on and off road though. Does anyone do any trail riding with a supermoto? Do they make 17" knobbies?
Very few bikes are built exclusively as supermotos. Even factory made ones are usually just enduro or MX bikes with different rims and brakes. IF you wanna use your bike for trailing it makes sence to get DRZ E and another set of weels + front brake rotor for supermoto use. It's more powerfull than SM version. Whatever, DRZ is a good direction.
