Up for sale is my 2007 SXV 550, bought new in February from Moto International in Seattle (great guys, by the way). A whole 250 miles on the odometer, and warranty until Feb. 31 of 2012.
This is THE fastest motard on the planet. You will eat those CBR and gixxer posers for lunch, then turn around and hand the KTM/Husky/Yammy sumos their butts.
Now, this is NOT a bike for noobs, in more ways than one. One, you don't respect this bike and its power, and it will buck you off the back. Two, it's a sexy Italian supermodel - as in, it requires a lot of maintenance. Don't get this bike if doing oil changes every 300 miles scares you.
The SXV had a reputation for blowing up, and it was well-deserved until the issues were addressed. This bike has had its 07 powerplant replaced with an 08 engine, re-sealed with the black sealant. It's got the proper map, and the throttle bodies have been synced. Anything that was a problem before isn't on this bike. And if you're worried, well, you've got that warranty.
I had an Adige slipper clutch in, but the stocker has been put back in. It's yours for an extra $400. It's got Cyra pro-bend handguards with the triple-tree mount, which is the sturdiest one. Also has front and rear axles sliders, though they've never been tested as it's never been down.
Price is $5300.
This is a great deal for a mint bike - go ahead and google the bike and other for sale ads, and you'll see. Even a better deal than the 450 for sale from a local dealer.
Reason I'm selling? I bought it to track it - road race and sumo - but as you can see by the odo, that hasn't happened. Since I have two other stallions in the stable, one filly has to go - and it's the one I don't use.
