hey dudes, my dad recently got a 2005 yamaha xt225 to go trail riding with me and it is a great throw around bike. BUT, i know this may sound dumb, but i need to pump it up a little. any suggestions, open air box, tweak with the carb, ANYTHING TO MAKE IT A LITTLE LESS DOGGY. Again, i know its kinda dumb saying a 225 is slow but its a good size bike :bannana:

We had an XT225 awhile back. 03 I think?
Drilled a couple holes in the baffle plate inside the muffler, (foot long 1/4" drill bit) jetted up, put 4 x 1/2" holes in the airbox door and dropped a tooth on the counter spocket.

Helped a with the low end power but there wasn't anything I could do about the soft suspension. Tried thicker oil up front and cranking up the preload in back but it got squirrly. I'm 195 lbs, think I was just too heavy for it.
