I make steering stems that allow you to mate a CR 80 or 85 front end... bolt right on. Ive been making them for a few years. The swingarm is something ive built but just never pushed it to many people. Not sure of the market. It would give you a XR100 with front end and rear hub from CR80/85. Front and rear disc

that is awesome. What does the whole front-end setup end up costing with your parts, and the CR80 front end? (ballpark)

I would love to do that, I just have to find a way to rationalize spending money on such a cheap bike :p

Something tells me there may be a buyer for your current drum brake SM set-up if you went the disc brake route.

I have to keep 1 of my bikes stock for racing purposes.

But I'm trying to trade my GSX-F 750 for another 100 to mess with and make street legal. a disc brake on the street bike would be a big plus.

The stems are made from 7075 aircraft aluminum and there $150 for the stem with top spacer. You have to find a front end on EBAY with CR80 triples, stock XR100 bearing kit and bolt it on. Its as easy as installing a stock one when you have all your parts. I own a machine shop and im looking for other ideas for parts to make. If its worth my while I will make it.

I'm not sure i could rationalize a rear disc when the drum locks the wheel already, but I am definitely going to keep an eye out for the parts to necessitate your front disk conversion.

Who wants to trade me a CRF for my Katana 750???

This is super cool BTW. I am not a buyer at the moment either but may be at some point in the future (if one of my 100s ends up a bigger and bigger money pit lol). I do really like the idea of the 85 front end swap to get a disk but unfortunately again likely a "future" purchase

Don't own an XR yet but looking to build a XR/CR100 on 16s with a XR80 front wheel. With your steering stem piece what year CR80/85 front end will bolt on? I assume I will need the following donor parts:

CR80/85 Left/Right Shocks, Upper/Lower Triple Clamps, Bearings?, Brake Caliper/Disc/Master/Line

Does the CR80/85 come in a 16" variant to match a XR80 front for 16" front/rear on the XR100? I saw some CR85 have 19" fronts and some older CR80 have 16" fronts.

This would be more for bling than need but I like bling too. I sent you a PM about the front end. Let me know about the ass end as well.
Nice work. Is the swingarm stock length? Can you make a slightly longer one?

I am interested. I just picked up an 86' XR100R that I want to set up for supermoto to have a little fun on the streets.
I am new to these small Honda's so still learning what mod's work etc.

I found a ATC 200X 24mm carb, adding the BBR brace, single BBR fork and maybe a Works rear. Also planning the BBR 120cc big bore kit, and a pipe from XR100.com unless someone has a better suggestion? What wheels work with the CR80/85 front end with this stem kit?
