Is there any other mini moto bike shock that will fit on an XR100 and can be adjusted for preload or other?
The stock shock really sucksw.

this was taken from the http://www.amra.ca website regarding doing the rear suspension of the xr100 up without spending much.

The rear shock is stiffened up by wrapping the bottom half of the spring with stiff fuel line in between the coils, then ducked taped to hold it in. (voila- high tech racing suspension that works very well.)

I just think that fuel line rear shock thing would be crap. Your not really doing much other than keeping it from compression so much, there would be not too much of a noticeable difference in comp dampening in my opinion. Then your rear end would be all crapped up with duct tape and sand and mud sticking to the associated duct tape sticky residue.

I tried a bike that had that shock mod. It's a touch better a mushy oingy boingy stock shock, but the only way you are going to make the rear end of the bike work good is with a works shock.

There's a guy that i know of took his stocker shock, drilled it out tacked on a fitting so he can drain her down and freshen it up like new when it gets wrung out. Anybody else seen or done??
