do not miss the biggest sumo event of the year, LOTW at USAIR
USAIR up in Shawano is usually open for practice during the week, just call ahead. We did quite a few 1/2 day work ride in the afternoon type days last summer. Hope to do it again this year.
Great track! Great family run operation! Lots of elevation changes..raced there twice last year..very smooth..practice Monday=Friday call ahead and they'll sign you in..$25 all day..
If the weather is good I'm going to hit up Shawano on Sunday May 1st. That will be my first time on a supermoto and the first time riding anything on a track.
Planning on being there as well. First time on a supermoto, road raced a bit, looking forward to something new. I'm also up for heading over to 61 or up to USAIR just about anytime. PM if interested.
looks like may 1st at Shawano-usair is good for me as long as the weather is good, I will call the track to confirm next week and probably drive up there Saturday night, wont have the new WR ready but the 06 yz I bought late last year should be good to go and maybe the old 07 yz too though I keep telling myself im going to rebuild it before this season maybe give it one last ride before I tear it down, and i'll bring the sxv out for a couple laps
Three of us shooting for May 1st at Shawano. Gunna be tight to get our bikes together in time. Let us know when you confirm the track will be open and times.
Talked to the good people up at Shawano. Told me May 1st is open practice 9am till dark. Also an FYI, they reply pretty quickly to questions on their Facebook page. USAir motor sports.
There is absolutely NO practice at MKA..The only days its open is race day..you get 2 practice heats and 2 races! that's it..long drive for most just to get very little track time..you cant ride before races or after..good people just no track time..:headshake
still in for the 1st but the weather may not be too good, early forecast for Chicago says 50's and slight chance of rain, if its cold/wet I will pass on the long drive and ride moto locally
