I have a 2003 DR650 and the subframe is bent in on the left side of the bike (where the passenger footpeg mount is). This is a problem considering the bike has a one piece frame/subframe. What do you do to fix this? I wasthinking of bending it back (it is about 6"-8" in) or finding somone to cut and weld a new one on (or create a detachable subframe by creating mounting points).... thoughts?
If you've an old fork tube laying around, then leash it to the subframe and heat up the bent areas with a torch (or whatever) and bend the sub-frame back into shape.
