So, a simple question. What did you use to shave down your front fork guard covers so they would stop rubbing against the front supermoto tire?

I attempted a hack saw, but quickly knew that was not going to work smoothly. I have a rotozip I am thinking of trying, obviously slowly so the plastic doesn't melt.

Just wondering.

It's kind of thick plastic but put a razor blade in some vice grips and heat the blade with a torch then cut/melt it. It's very effective on most plastics.

Ive trimmed fenders and such on quads and bikes with my pocket knife. A razor isn't quite sturdy enough. I would make large, rough cuts, then go back and make precise trims to clean it up.

OK, my first attempt was with a rotozip and cutter bit. Bad idea. It got most of it done, but then had to use a knife to trim down the excess and then used some gritty sand paper to touch it up. My second attempt, went much better. I used a jig saw and then sand paper to make it pretty looking.
