Hey all, new here.

Ran some searches, but didn't find any info.

I've got an RM250 here that I've been dreaming about supermoto'ing for years now. I haven't been able to pull the trigger due to cost, and my unsurety if it's even going to be a fun bike for my local track. (Loudon NH / NHIS)

I'm looking at the lowest cost parts to get me out there on a track day to give it a try. I'm looking into just buying rubber for the stock 21" front, and 19" rear, and a chain/sprocket combo for gearing.

Are there many tire choices out there for stock MX rims? Are they even worth investing in?

I'm wide open to any any other tips or suggestions that come to mind. I've got leathers and all safety gear leftover from my sportbike days. Just looking to convert the bike over..

Thanks!

I just ordered some Shink 705's for my KLX 650R. The pair shipped was $103. On backorder some places, found them in stock at Chapparal.
