I ordered a set a ContiForce SM's 120/70 and 150/60 17's from Tire Express on 6/12/2008, T.E. says they have them in stock, order arrives and I received the 120/70 and a TKC 90/90-21. I called T.E. and tell them I got a wrong tire and ask for the correct replacement. They tell me they will ship the correct tire out ASAP, & email me a return shipping label, and ask me to drive the tire to the closest UPS hub 90 miles away.
I declined the offer:laughingr and told them UPS should be delivering to me in the next few days and they can pick up the tire then. 2 days later I call for a delivery date and they tell me the tire is backordered 2-5 weeks. I cancelled the replacement tire and asked for a refund, T.E. tells me sure, no problem. UPS picks up the wrong tire and I wait for the credit to appear on my bank account. NO credit. I call T.E. and inquire as to the reason, and I'm then informed that they haven't received the tire back yet. I give the guy the UPS tracking number and he tells me no tire, no money. So here's the deal boys and girls, if T.E. ships you a wrong product and even confirms their merchandise is being returned to them, they won't issue a refund. Now I have neither the tire I ordered or my money.
The good news is, I called Motostrano, ordered the 150/60 and it shipped the next day.
So here's to you Tire Express:2hard CAVEAT EMPTOR!
