I ordered a set a ContiForce SM's 120/70 and 150/60 17's from Tire Express on 6/12/2008, T.E. says they have them in stock, order arrives and I received the 120/70 and a TKC 90/90-21. I called T.E. and tell them I got a wrong tire and ask for the correct replacement. They tell me they will ship the correct tire out ASAP, & email me a return shipping label, and ask me to drive the tire to the closest UPS hub 90 miles away.

I declined the offer:laughingr and told them UPS should be delivering to me in the next few days and they can pick up the tire then. 2 days later I call for a delivery date and they tell me the tire is backordered 2-5 weeks. I cancelled the replacement tire and asked for a refund, T.E. tells me sure, no problem. UPS picks up the wrong tire and I wait for the credit to appear on my bank account. NO credit. I call T.E. and inquire as to the reason, and I'm then informed that they haven't received the tire back yet. I give the guy the UPS tracking number and he tells me no tire, no money. So here's the deal boys and girls, if T.E. ships you a wrong product and even confirms their merchandise is being returned to them, they won't issue a refund. Now I have neither the tire I ordered or my money.

The good news is, I called Motostrano, ordered the 150/60 and it shipped the next day.

So here's to you Tire Express:2hard CAVEAT EMPTOR!

i've had good and bad with motostrano. If motostrano has it in stock, you're fine, just like ordering from any company, but if its not in stock, they don't really notify you prompt and it takes forever (it feels like). The staff i spoke with always gave me conflicting information and weren't helpful. Joe was decent, but didn't really go any extra mile in terms of customer friendliness/service. I'd order again if i knew the item was in stock, but not if had to wait with them. I talked to some guy asking where i could find a jersey since in the last month a ton of items were removed from the site and he just acted like I don't know, didn't try to help, std well maybe some items in store but not online, but i don't really know, no real help. Joe was prompt however whenever it came to email inquiry he was pretty good about a quick response.

I guess its part of ordering from some vendors.

Maybe it's just the luck of the draw. I've ordered a bunch of parts from eight different vendors while tard'n my WR450F. Tire Express is the only one that's dropped the ball. Hell, Baja Designs shipped my order and I received it before they even charged my credit card. The thing that pisses me off is a company that screws up and then I have to work to get my money back!

well sir, if you hadn't hung up on me a few minutes ago as i was describing to you the issue you may have heard my explanation. unfortunately if you don't TELL US you are from supermotojunkie and you do a phone order, there's is no way for us to DIVINE by some magical insight that you are eligible for that discount. we can' assume that just because you are ordering some tires that you are from supermotojunkie and therefore get a shipping credit. yes, unfortunately, you do need to ask, say something, say SMJ or supermotojunkie, for the discount by telling us on the phone, if you are doing a phone order, that you'd like the discount. and, if you are doing an order on the web site, please simply type 'supermotojunkie' in the coupon field on our web site

thanks and have a great day. your shipping credit was applied to your card.

The first time I ordered from you guys I informed the guy on the phone I was a supermotojunkie member. Evidently I have to do that every time. Irrespective, on my last order the invoice you sent via email didn't show shipping charges, it was only after I checked my bank statement did I see you charged me shipping. BTW, I don't intend on listening to some bullshit story on the phone and then pleading to get my money back. You said you wouldn't give me a refund, so it's time for me to move on, no arm twisting from me!! Now you're trying to cover your ass by posting here showing what a nice guy you are. Frankly I don't care about the $12 anymore, it's a drop in the bucket compared to what I've spent in the last month. I got the tire and you came through on that, but that'll be the last one.
