Greg (FC_501) and I went out for a rip yesterday. Started from the Ridgefield cutoff, and drode through Battleground (the boring part)

Then we rode up SR503 to Jacks. Got stuck behind a Dump Truck for a bit, so I decided to stop and wait a little before we ripped through the 15's (a section of 15 MPH corners)

At Jacks we turned up the wick a bit to tell the natives we were there.

Filled up at Cougar, I pulled a cool wheelie as usual!! Then ran up to Merrill Lake. That road is a friggin blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Technical too. There is basicly NO traffic, and because of this, there are a few twigs and leaves on the road, not to mention some patches of moss!!! We ran up this canyon twice. It'a a 6 mile stretch, and the Cougar Natives really fon an ear full!!! :hammer:

Total Ride was 101.8 miles!! :bike:

Once Windy Ridge thaws out, I think we are gonna haul the bikes up to Bear Meadow, and go Sport Bike hunting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

heh heh when ya spend most of the time riding, ya don't get much of a chance to take pics!!
something to drool over

Windy Ridge

Map Legend

We could put in at either Bear Meadow or Elk Pass
yeah, but I bet in that 35min, you crack at least 3-4 wheelies just to keep yerself sane!!
Greg and I went on a short run today. Went up past Carson on the Wind River HWY. Unloaded the bikes and poached a few runs on the single lane Forrest Service Black Top.

HOLY CRAP those roads are tight...no where to veer off if you are confronted by a cager either.

If you could gaurantee no opposing traffic, this would be IMO the best place to ride a Supermoto in SW Washington. A sport bike would eat it big time!!

Not too much carnage....except for the little Fir Tree that Greg tried to mow over with his helmet!!!!

I haven't filly uncorked on Greg yet....he is just learning, but he is starting to feel what his tires will hold, and how fast he can enter a corner.....looks like we need a trip to Pats Acres!!!
may have to do that!!

I may have my new Works Performance rear shock by then!!
