Hi guys hopefully one of you will have a better knowledge of this than me!

I've raced with the 16/63 Michelin's for the last 2 years on correct sized wheels, but now I'm faced with sorting one of my customers out with tyres on a larger rim and I'm unsure!

The SXV out the showroom runs a 5.5" rear rim, with a fat 180 fitted on it. Our customer is after slicks for it, the 12/60 front is fine, but I'm wondering if any of you have put the 16/63 on the rear? I'm thinking it'll be too flat and stretched out which will affect handling considerably, so I'm after your thoughts on this subject!

Michelin unfortunately don't do a 180 Power Slick to fit, just a 19/69R17 which would then affect handling the other way!

In an ideal world you'll get a 5" built around the standard hub but the customer is set on just getting tyres for now.

Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks

Rob

a lot.of people.use michelins on 5.5s, including my self. I think you get a bit more grip on corner exits, but bit lazier to steer. and dont think you will run out of tire. also michelin recomends a 5 or 5.5 rim
