It does quicken it, but not enough IMO. It also just makes the front feel more planted and gives a little more feel. Try it. If you don't like it you can put it back. Everyone I have encountered thinks it's a huge improvement.

If you put sport setting on the front, it will feel like that. In fact, nevermind comfort settings, you really might want to back the compression clicker ALL THE WAY out. set rebound to comfort setting. drop the front. Then try the rear at sport settings. Crank in some preload in the rear as well. You want to get some weight on the front end of this thing or the suspension just doesn't work.

Korr, try reducing the front compression even more. The set-up has way too much low speed compression damping. The only way to improve it is to give up the high speed compression damping and back the clickers out. If you dig into the shim stack it seemes light on compression, but removing most of the low speed portion of the stack will allow you to set the clickers back to 10-12 out AND have some good compliance and feel up front.

THere's no preload adjuster. You want to remove the spacers inside the fork cap.

If you can bottom the SMC in I'll give you 100 dollars! lol. No, it won't be that soft. There's too much low speed comp damping even with the clickers all the way out.

I was just thinking (always a dangerous thing), what if we went with a lower weight fork oil to soften the high speed dampening? Instead of having to redo the fork valving. I have no idea what weight comes stock.
5wt. There is a 2.5 wt from racetech, but it's not enough of a difference.

Stoked for 2 days around NJMP! Can't wait to try my new front end settings on the fast, smooth corners of the thunderbolt. I'm expecting to be able to push my corner entry speeds up a fair bit based on my laps at NHMS and some street rides. The bike already "liked" the Jersey track, now it should be sublime.

Hey, thanks, I could see you picked up a lot of the lines I showed you very quickly. I can watch in my rear view mirror, and even by the 3rd lap you were looking a lot smoother and on the line. Nice riding.

We're coming back in Sepetember. Sign up!
