im in and i know kevin b is in also out friend rob so we should have nice crew out there this weekend
Man, I wish I could be there. I miss that place. When I lived up there (SJ) I thought the place was just OK. Since I've moved I've realized it was actually pretty nice. There just aren't many (any?) nice, trail-riding with woods (not sand) places down here in SD (that I know about). In Hollister, half the fun was just hanging out near the top with a good view and some shade after going through trails lined on both sides with trees, etc. Almost makes me want to drive the 6+ hours up there for a long weekend and camping.

Man, this sounds like a blast. I'll try to make it down with my XR, but I'm not sure I'll be able to. Where will you guys be parked?
edit: duh, just rememberd that I have Giants tix on Sunday. So I won't be there for sure.
Red sticker season starts next week in Hollister. I can't wait to get my 2-smoke back on the trails, and I can't wait to take my motard out on the TT track. Let's plan another one of these in a couple weeks. Maybe the week after the next Stockton race?

It looks like the XR400R SM foreign legions (the british king of the hill and the French bastard) might show up after all :arsenal
I just talked to Kevin, he wants to work on the jets and exhaust of his bike tomorrow, we would load both XRs on his Toyota truck and leave Sunday morning early :hammer:
We would stay on plated SM setup with turn signals and horns to warn you when we lap you on the TT track :infrandom :twofinger
We might also go for a SM asphalt ride around the track, anything fun as SM there?

They are both fairly extensive > 100mile loop and obviously more suited for R1200GS' but I have been to Hollister dozens of times and always wondered what is just around the corner of Cienega road after the ohv park so I might go exploring after putting i a few laps on the TT track.
Of course the last time I was out on the TT track I highsided in fairly spectacular fashion, so we will have to see hoe it goes.

Hollister update
Sundays ride was great!! It was awesome to have a large group of riders and freinds. I wanted to say thanks to Harry for comming out and sorry that
Donavan was having reg issues, all good next week though. Thanks to Harry also for the riding tips too! Harry made the hill climb look easy, so did Rob and Ben, who also blasted some huge air on the MX track!!! :clap: The TT track was tore up and very hard to get
any traction on but kept the fun level up for sure. I only did one trail ride where Harry found me some hills to blast on. Looking forward to another ride soon, and hoping for better riding conditions. We had some awesome battles on the TT track going on and Adam was working fools on the ATV track on that monster predator, as well as sliding his KTM400 around showing me the fast way around! There was a heated battle of the 250's between Ben and Rob that ended in a oooops pass and some inocent contact, that one ended in a :2hard :twofinger :laughingr and some kiss and make ups. I got all of it on video though!!!So till next time, thanks to everyone who showed up and we gotta do this again soon. :clap:

The TT track does not really get any better. Very sandy soil.
It was fun for the short time we were there.
No messing with green stickers at Hollister any more. If they know your bike is not supposed to be a green sticker they call it in and you imediately get a red sticker in the mail :2hard

o yeah thanx kevin, harry, rob and whoever i missed out (sorry i was never good with names) for showing up that was greate day of fun in the sun :thumbup: kevin u should slow down on TT man your 2 fast for me :thefinger and harry is the man on trails all i have to say is that u guys kick ass and we should do it again sometimes or maybe go to clear creek or something just go and ride so yeah so what happend to out english/french team? i hope u guys can make it next time oh well is time to ride laters :arsenal

It would be a great weekend to start. Should be a lot less people with the Reno AMA races going at the same time.
