So if I read that correctly, I am OK in the beginner class as long as my 17" rims are sporting DOT tires? But if I have slicks I can't race beginner?

If you have DOT tires, you can do the Beginner class and also the amateur class.

If you have only slicks, you can do the Amateur class and also de SM1 Open if you want.

I have DOT tires I can use. Beginner would be for me since it would be my first race. Not sure if I will be healed enough to race by then, but I should know in the next week or so.

Don't forget guys, the maxxis supermoto is DOT this year. Not the best tire like the Michelin SM, but for beginners it's enough.

Peter, i called Guy Giroux for the race, he is looking for a Suzuki SM 450 RMZ for the race. If you have a spear...:) :) contact him!

I have the Continental ContiForce SM tires on my rims right now. They used to be on my WR. They are DOT tires and perform very well on the track. I paid about $300 for them from the states, but Parts Canada dealers can get them as well.

**supermoto X Fest 2008** How Many Ontarians?

This will undoubtably prove to be the greatest SUPERMOTO EVENT in Canada this year. :thumbup:If there were more people from Ontario last year you would all know for certain how great this event has become.:D
Franck Kerchaff has pulled out all the stops. His focus is turning this into the best event bar none and If he can do better than last year... you will not want to miss this event.
The drift contest is a gas. Spectators have something to see at every moment of the day. The spectacular view of the mountains and valleys are really something to behold.
It would be good to get an Idea of how many riders from Ontario and the USA plan to attend.:infrandom
If you would not mind, Please let me know so we could all encourage Franck for his great efforts as he is helping to creat great entheusiasm for the sport to which you will all be the better for.
See you at Mecaglisse. Get there as early as possible for a good spot in the pits.:bike:

I' took part l' last year and was an exceptional occurrence that is for the pilots beginners or professionals. This circuit is the greatest secrecy in North America, it is undulating very sedentary, its surface very abrasive without connection or is damaged. After having seen d' more; a score of circuits in Europe and America, I will classify it among signal 3. The costs are very accessible and what I like c' is that the race is opened with the motor bikes of street. Last year that which gained the category tires DOT had a DRZ and after having made its race it set out again with its motor bike ...... Afflicted for my English!
