Hy All

I now this might sound weird, but i need a picture of the frame number (might be called VIN number in the US?!) from a SMR 510 MY2010.

Let me explain my situation: I want to import an American model of the 510 2010 to Switzerland. To get the bike plated over here, i need a document from the official Swiss Husqvarna import company. So i just called them i asked for it. They said that they first need to check if the bike complies with our regulations. To do so, they need a frame number of the exact model and year.

Please help me guys :bowdown: I would appreciate it alot if someone could take a picture of his frame (VIN) number:thumbup:

Regards
Husky

Why are you trying to import a 2010 model from US instead of just buying a Euro model? If you are trying to avoid taxes, I doubt that will work.

I have a 2008 so I can't help you, but just curious whatever your reason for wanting to, if you are trying to import one, why not show the photo of that one???
I'll show mine if you show your credit card and PIN...

Mate, think you're on dodgy ground asking for that kind of info, surely any Husky dealer in Suisse can give you the relevant specs you need? Or as above, get the VIN number off of the designated bike :hmmm:

+1...that's what I ws thinking:headscrat
@wilmar13
I haven't bought the bike yet. I want to make sure that it is possible to get i plated before i spend the money on the bike. I'm not trying to avoid taxes, but the price of the bike in the US is damn good!!!! Nearly 60% more over here:headshakee

@moto66
I know it's not common to ask that kinda stuff. But as i said, i haven't bought the bike yet so i got no frame number. Of course i would use my own number if i would have the bike already. No Swiss dealer will be able to provide me with the frame number of the US bikes.

I hope you guys understand my problem.
Contact the US dealer you want to purchase the bike from and ask for a VIN #.
:hmmm: but if you can buy the same Husky in Suisse then the Husky as a generic bike/model is ok no?

You get a better deal from the US maybe, well great, but the bike's the same. So if the specs of a bog standard Husky are ok in your home country then the same make/model should be ok from the US or anywhere?

So if they approve the bike as a bike, then all they should need is the VIN of the bike you want to buy..
The bike is exactly the same. The only difference is that we dont need the charcoal canister.

Regulations are very compicated over here. I don't understand why the importer needs to check if the bike complies with our regulations. I now it does for sure. It's the same bike. But he won't give me confirmation document (which i need to get it plated) that the US Husq complies with the swiss regulations, aslong as i won't give him a VIN# so he can check if these particular bikes are legal over here.
That was a difficult sentence. I hope you understood it.

I try to get in touch with a Husky Dealer to ask for the VIN#.

Does somebody know which Dealer sells "for export":headscrat. NY area or Miami would be perfect.

Thanks:thumbup:
Or might be quicker to email Husky direct and get it from them, they'll give you all the info you should need re specs. I'm sure Euro crap is the same in the UK here as where you are.

Try contacting:

They are my very local dealer, great guys and the UK importer. Hope you get some fix :thumbup:
