Where did you get the K&N air filter kit like that ?
It's the EVO 2 Tuning Kit for the SMC straight out of the KTM Street Powerparts catalogue.

690 once again an enduro bike...don't know if will ever convert back??? But throwing on the 17" wheels isn't that much work so will do that now and then. Works surprisingly well on twisty tarmac with Pirelli Scorpion MT90 though.

Bike posted before in post #945 as trackday bike (road legal) and touring bike in post #969. Well, this weekend I will race in Scandinavian Championship in SuperMono class so all converted to race bike with no lights, plate or sidestand and with slicks and secured With wire in all the right places.

It's not even close to mint condition after crashes both in the bikes previous life as an ER and a few crashes on track and road. Still, I think it's cool, the bike is supposed to be used, no scratches means it's not ridden hard enough!

Not that I'll win, pretty sure will be bottom half. Some of the guys in my class run GP chassis with 800 race engines from Rotax. And I'm no Marques anyway...

Are you referring to the small diameter hoses that attach to the carb?
Those are not Samco. I purchased them here from APA (supermotojunkie member)

Awesome looking bike. I just got a 14' smc r myself. find it a bit too tall for city riding so I ordered the 1" koula link.
I'm curious what u did to correct the geometry after installing your kouba link. Did u move the front forks up in the triple clamp and if so by how much? Or did u just adjust the rear sag, especially since u have the oehlins shock in, did that correct the geometry for u?

Thanks for any insight and advise in advance

here's my new ride. drz on sale for anyone living in HK.. probs nobody haha

I'm also worried about the side stand becoming too long, making the bike too upright and therefore unstable when used. I use the bike to commute in city traffic so any insight into lowering and making the bike a better city ripper and user friendly daily driver is appreciated.

Cheers,
Christian
