It looks as though there will be a supermoto and sportsman class at saratoga speedway and here is some info from last weeks meeting.
5th of March Meeting Overview: Saratoga Speedway Motorcycle Series 2013
Dates confirmed (no conflicting dates w/ Victoria Supermoto). All Saturday’s at 5pm:
May 25, June 8, June 22, July 13, July 27, and Aug 24.
Due to dwindling number of entries, a sport bikes class is no longer scheduled.
Dirt section will be designed inside hairpin area, using existing monster truck jump.
Possible platform jump on front straight with optional chicane (like Vic SM at Western).
Chicanes will be added in hairpin entry and exit to make it a more technical section.
Hay bales to be added to ditch area on exit of hairpin and 4 sections of motorcycle Air Fence will be used in Dogleg impact area.
Class structure will be designed, and classes run during race will be determined by number of entries of each class. Under 450cc, over 450cc and Sportsman are probable classes. Possibly Expert and Amateur classes if warranted.
Awards on race dates will be handed out to top 3 overall, the points awards for each class will be handed out at end of season banquet.
Sunday 7 April at 4:00pm and again Sunday 28 April at 4:00pm will be track days to test the track layout for Supermoto racers. All are invited and there is no entry fee.
Club will provide 3 helpers and Race Director (in addition to Saratoga Speedway staff).
Dean will check with western Pirelli dealer to work out a group discount for Sportsman class “spec” tires (21” front tires and 19” rear tires).
