How does everyone get to the carb to rejet on the Z400SM? I just rejetted last night after a 3x3mod and MRD exhaust and I'm wondering if there is an easier way to remove the carb. I removed the fenders, took out the vacuum box and then removed the carb on the right side of the bike. Don't think the carb could have squeezed through the frame and engine boot.

Anybody have an easier way? Turning the carb on its side, removing the airbox?

I unbolt the sub frame at all three points and slide back.
You really got to wiggle the carb in between the frame. Sliding the sub frame back helps to move the air boot out of the way.

Removing the carb is a pain period.

Another good practice is to remove the carb as mentioned above and replace with an FCR...

+1 Yup  And remove the heat sink for the regulator / rectifier and it'll slide right out.
