so im new to the fourm, and new to a supermoto. i found a husky 610sm. its a 2006 with 7500 miles on it. im not sure how reliable it will be and if it will be able to be my everyday commuter(i dont mind the rough ride that ive heard so much about)? i know it needs its maintenance more than others, but what can i expect with that mileage, and is it a good deal for $3500? thanks, i could use any advice. and im aware there is other threads about this but i cant find a straight answer/:

The 610 is more of an everyday commuter machine. I ride my 2008 610 everyday 30 miles and am approaching 7500 miles -- no issues.

The 510 is more high strung (oil changes every 500-1000 miles and valve adjustments too). The 610 is 3000 miles between valve adjustments and oil changes.

As a point of reference you can probably pick up a new 2009 610 for around $6000-$6500 from dealer leftover.

At 7500 miles the 610 you are looking at will likely need a cam chain replacement. You can do it yourself if you are decent with a wrench. There are videos and write ups in this forum to show you how to do it.

Other than routine maintenance and cam chain replacements, the 610/630 is super reliable I have seen them with over 30,000 miles and still running strong.
