I bought a complete exhaust from an 06 SMR and installed it last night. The head pip has the proper offset in it, and the silencer came with all the right spacers. Bolted up to my 04 SX no problems. Everything looks like it will clear OK now.

Just wanted to bring closure to this, as somebody may be searching the threads and looking for the answer to the same problem!

Just an FYI, the tire rubs even on a stock SMR- check the marks on my 560 (and those were just from compression loads when cornering since I had not jumped the bike at that point yet).

Well, it's still 10x better than how it was rubbing before, so I guess I'll take it!

On a good note though the stock SMR doesn't rub near as bad as the pics you posted earlier. Yours was rubbing nearer the swingarm pivot than my SMR (my buddies 450 SMR rubs the exact same as my 560 too BTW) which tends to rub towards the center of the can and only at extreme bottoming loads. I don't know how often yours used to rub so you may have lessened the frequency as well as severity with the SMR header / can.
Since I've been jumping it the black mark is much more pronounced now, although it doesn't seem to effect tire wear any. My main concern is that it rubs the head of the bolt on the can, which I'm sure can't be good for the tire, but it doesn't gouge the tire as far as I can see.
