I know this is probably a pretty common question but which oils and coolants do you use??? I am doing a total rebuild on a 98 WR 400. I hear people say, "use synthetic" and others say "do not use synthetic" I am running a new OEM clutch set up. Can I use synthetic with it? On the coolant, I am running new fluidyne radiators, and will be riding it on the streets. Would engine ice be good, or which coolant should I use? Thanks.

I use Rotella T 15-40 in my 06' YZ450F and have since 06'. 12 bucks a gallon vs 12 bucks a quart! Yes I change my oil a lot but I still havent cracked the cases or the head for anything. I would change my oil at the same intervals if I were running the expensive stuff too.

O.K. got 2 answers, 1 use synthetic oil for wet clutches / 2 use car oil. Thanks for the help, but I kind of figured more would chime in... Any recomendations on weight or brand? I am riding in Florida and South East Texas, so riding in really hot weather. Come on guys, help a fellow Yamaha rider out...

Rotella FTW..

I use the honda premixed coolant they sell.

When I raced offroad I used engine ice just because I rode a lot of tight technical trail.
