It's a 3x3 hole cut in the airbox where the snorkle is located.
here is where it's at.

you also need to rejet your carb for the mod. This mod is done on my 05 DRZ SM

Thanks for your comments Chris, I was beginning to think nobody had noticed my bike. It's an Rs3 Yoshi I think, that's bad should know my own kit. Yes it is loud it pops and barks like a good un especially through tunnels highly recommend it

Nice, I really want to step up to a KTM, maybe next year, the DRZ is just fine for me now, hopefully trying some track days this summer.

Yes I know him from PNW Mines just a 4fiddy but fun. I think I might look for a 625 or 690 for the street :bannana:

A 690 would be awesome! I ride a z1000 mostly for street, little more highway friendly then the DRZ.

I wish I was going in your direction ... this isolation stuff has me pulling stuff to bits and buying stuff, beta got its top end done, beemer got chain and sprockets, 510 got new injector and map switch so auto tune and tweak a map time, 701 is getting swing arm and a bunch of stuff Cerakoted, plus new Tekmo carbon and quick shifter... I HAVE TO STOP ?.
Still love every minute of it and my argument is I’m helping someone stay in a job... spend it now so their in business when I need something in 6 months.

Yeah, buying parts and such is the excuse I have been using too LMAO.
