I usally run my on the low side and was wondering were everyone else runs theirs? :headscrat

I try to run mine at the top line. There ain't much oil in there to begin with, and more oil stays cooler.

What is the correct way to check the oil?

Warm the engine up. Let it idle for 2-3 minutes, then shut it off and wait about a minute. Stand the bike up vertical and take the dipstick out, wipe it off, and stick it back in (but don't screw it in). Pull it back out and read the level.
