offset for CRF450

my bikes are still run standard tripple clamps i want to play with different offsets ,but as i live in thailand i would like to know what others are running ,besause i will have to get it sent in from the US .my friend runs 14 on his KTM and i have heard of guys running 6 and 8 in europe but these are all on the orange ones.so how far to go with the CRF 16 ,18 ??????
