Jon, Really? YOUR own website lists trackdays are $100 we pay $45 to ride on a superior track... please explain the difference ? If I'm wrong than correct me......:hmmm:
I'm not even sure what's going on here, but if there is an ambulance present and corner/flag workers present, then $100 is a good deal for any racing or track day.
At a $45 USAIR "track day", if you crash, you lay there until someone drives by and sees you. Then you lay there some more until an ambulance gets there.
Yes no corner workers or ambulance at track days, but "Racing" @USAIR is $65-$75 with corner workers and an EMT present, still way cheaper, I think.....Who's Joe?

The difference is this is still NWGP, it is not RCP. We are stepping in to help run it, not take it over. But yes our days cost more but we incur all the expenses at our track days such as track rental, insurance, corner workers etc. There is not a huge margin in our track days. I work a full time job to pay my bills. This was started after we lost our supernoto track. We do run sport bikes also because we don't get enough supermotos to keep the costs down. I would love to make a living riding motorcycles but as everyone who works in this industry knows nobody is getting rich. If it wasn't such an important part of my relationship with my son I probably wouldn't stick my neck out this far. What we need more of is people willing to volunteer and help at these events so the weight of the responsibilities doesn't rest on one person. It's a huge amount of extra stress to add to a persons life to try and run these events especially when having to juggle a career and a family on top of it. What we need more of is people asking "what can I do to help?" Not slinging crap to stir the pot. When clubs like this go under or fall apart everyone shows interst and wants it back. If people step up and give back to the club with their time and effort before that point the club prospers and grows. The success of the clubs depends on the efforts of the volunteers. Without them it disolves. One of my biggest goals for the club is to create a board of 4-5 people to committ themselves on a year to year basis to take up the responsibilities and to make decisions for the club. I by no means want to take on this club without others being involved. I very much want others to step up and volunteer for a season and help run the organization so it continues on.
Scott...I get a feeling you don't know the difference between NWGP and USAir. USAir owns the track and runs its own track days and can charge whatever they like. NWGP only organizes the races. Our involvement is only with NWGP, we have no connection to USAir therefore we have no control over the pricing for track days at USAir. USAir also incurs all the expense for NWGP races such as ambulance and corner workers. There's a much different dynamic with this situation than with RCP.

Of coarse I know the difference, I'm just saying no one will pay $100 for a trackday when USAIR and Sugar River are so cheap for practice..Besides I'm a cheap old slow bast***!! LOL
I think we need to wait for more information before we start to make judgments. It was not long ago we had 50 bikes a weekend, now not even 15. We need to be open to change and try our hardest to make this work for everyone. Having said that who ever is taking control of NWGP needs to come forward, state their direction for the series so we do not loose more riders and bikes. (The next statement is said with sarcasm) Besides it can't get any worse than Ryan running it!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahaha :Funny:  Just my two cents. Jon W #62 sumo heavy, mini heavy

I know it was meant to be a joke but Ryan is very dedicated to NWGP. whatever reason that the numbers have dropped off started before he took over. Pointing fingers is a waste of energy. Time to rebuild and focus on running a stand up club and recruit new racers & wake up some old ones. This club has had some great years but we need some more enthusiasm to revive it. Often times its a single person making all the efforts and when they drop off it starts to fall. We need the members to invest themselves in the club by spreading the word and helping with the events.
I know for me the weekends I have not shown up is because they are on days I have my kids. Any other time I am there. I am not going anywhere and will be racing supermoto until I can't swing a leg over a sumo anymore. I think with injuries and other odd things that is the reason behind the low #'s. Aslo if somone says Boogie or Ryan or Jon do not have a passion for the sport and do not give it 100% to promote our races id full of shit. Plain and simple. The time and energy these guys put into it is beyond what your lazy asses would want to know. So shut the fuck up and ride.
^^ Well said, Uncle Steve. Same for me. Work being so busy and conflicting schedules makes it very hard to make events.
It was easier for me to make races when there on holiday weekends. 4th,Father's Day, Memorial Day for example.
I think that the post by USAir (reposted below) is a good idea, to talk about, at least, the rest of this season and maybe future seasons. This way everyone can get the facts and add in their opinion's on the direction and situations that face our beloved North Woods GP. We all know that Ryan, Boogie, and many others have put in countless hours and their own dollars to continue this series and the least we can do is talk about how to make it work for everyone. So I will be attending the meeting (moved to Sunday according to Facebook) and I hope others will also, #62 "Back of the Pack" Jon W.
p.s. I seriously hope no one took my sarcastic remarks in previous post literal, this is why we need to talk face to face, no reading into forum post.
p.s.s. We need to add two classes spec crf100, and RACE MOPED/ANY MOPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"We at US Air Motorsports would like to extend a welcome to anyone that would like to come and discuss the current and future events for mini and supermoto racing on September 6th & 7th and use the top of the tech building for a meeting room. There has been a lot of questions, some asked and answered and some not. To not further divide the group maybe some discussion would be beneficial. We feel at this point in time the racers need to share their input and ideas in order to create a stronger well run series. Possibly a rider consortium - everybody's input needs to be expressed in a round table scenario, all options looked at and shared amongst the group of racers and hopefully the negative issues can be resolved for the remainder of the 2014 season and also the upcoming 2015 season. There are multiple directions the racers can go - we feel there needs to be a discussion held between the racers for the racers and decisions made by the racers for the racers. This is everyone's opportunity to voice your opinion in an open forum, need not bring your bike but come to talk. This is after all supposed to be fun, when it stops being fun we all lose out.
September 6th we have 2 private parties till 4pm, you can practice after then till dusk for $25.00 - on the 7th it is a designated NWGP race day, we need to get a honest head count on who is participating as we have large expenses to cover, please email us at info@usairmotorsports.com If there aren't enough entries and the general consensus is to have a controlled track day (no karts) we can also go in that direction.
