Apparently over the w/e NWGP was handed over... This SUCKS!! According to a little bird Nwgp was turned over to someone in MN who will want to charge double plus just for a track day and run supermoto only and not mini's!! He'll lose most everybody in the series!!! The idea of Nwgp is cheap racing! NOT sportbike tracktime to make $$, but a place to race on the cheap!! Besides when Everybody is from WI,IL who wants to drive to MN to run in a parking lot with cones!! Not me!!Way to turn people away!!! I'll be all over a NEW series that's run locally (Sorry not in MN!!!) and run the same way as Ryan did it NOT more $$ to put cash in someones pocket!!!:headshake:headshake:headshake:headshake:headshake:rant::rant::rant::rant:
Apparently the 3 rounds left will/maybe go on? :bannana::headscrat:hmmm::headshake..Hey 3 Madison racers (with the mini's) where you at?Some of the people at be want to get ahold of you guys!!
Yep Ryan is gonna direct rest of year then he's done, from the grapevine a MN guy is taking over and going to up all the fee's like sportbike tracktime so he can make money$$...:headshake
Allot of rumors going on and not much else! I contacted USAIR and they had no idea of what is happening ! I know some mini racers were looking into starting another mini series and partnering up with another group for next season but that is still not gotten off the ground. I hope we can get some answers soon this is getting really old !!! All I can say is it has been to much for me to put up with. My son has lost a year of racing and we only have a short season as it is. If NWGP has a race we will go and check it out and see if the fee rumors are true and what are the plans for next year. We are looking into Ninja 300 racing for next season, we will not go through this crap again.
.
I'm going by what 4 different people have told me, all of whom are stand up guys..This guy has only shown up to a handfull of races and want's to run it now? Just sayin
Jon, Really? YOUR own website lists trackdays are $100 we pay $45 to ride on a superior track... please explain the difference ? If I'm wrong than correct me......:hmmm:
I'm not even sure what's going on here, but if there is an ambulance present and corner/flag workers present, then $100 is a good deal for any racing or track day.
At a $45 USAIR "track day", if you crash, you lay there until someone drives by and sees you. Then you lay there some more until an ambulance gets there.
Yes no corner workers or ambulance at track days, but "Racing" @USAIR is $65-$75 with corner workers and an EMT present, still way cheaper, I think.....Who's Joe?
Scott...I get a feeling you don't know the difference between NWGP and USAir. USAir owns the track and runs its own track days and can charge whatever they like. NWGP only organizes the races. Our involvement is only with NWGP, we have no connection to USAir therefore we have no control over the pricing for track days at USAir. USAir also incurs all the expense for NWGP races such as ambulance and corner workers. There's a much different dynamic with this situation than with RCP.
Of coarse I know the difference, I'm just saying no one will pay $100 for a trackday when USAIR and Sugar River are so cheap for practice..Besides I'm a cheap old slow bast***!! LOL
I think we need to wait for more information before we start to make judgments. It was not long ago we had 50 bikes a weekend, now not even 15. We need to be open to change and try our hardest to make this work for everyone. Having said that who ever is taking control of NWGP needs to come forward, state their direction for the series so we do not loose more riders and bikes. (The next statement is said with sarcasm) Besides it can't get any worse than Ryan running it!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahaha :Funny:  Just my two cents. Jon W #62 sumo heavy, mini heavy

I know it was meant to be a joke but Ryan is very dedicated to NWGP. whatever reason that the numbers have dropped off started before he took over. Pointing fingers is a waste of energy. Time to rebuild and focus on running a stand up club and recruit new racers & wake up some old ones. This club has had some great years but we need some more enthusiasm to revive it. Often times its a single person making all the efforts and when they drop off it starts to fall. We need the members to invest themselves in the club by spreading the word and helping with the events.
I know for me the weekends I have not shown up is because they are on days I have my kids. Any other time I am there. I am not going anywhere and will be racing supermoto until I can't swing a leg over a sumo anymore. I think with injuries and other odd things that is the reason behind the low #'s. Aslo if somone says Boogie or Ryan or Jon do not have a passion for the sport and do not give it 100% to promote our races id full of shit. Plain and simple. The time and energy these guys put into it is beyond what your lazy asses would want to know. So shut the fuck up and ride.
^^ Well said, Uncle Steve. Same for me. Work being so busy and conflicting schedules makes it very hard to make events.
It was easier for me to make races when there on holiday weekends. 4th,Father's Day, Memorial Day for example.
