I will be new to supermoto.
I bought a 2011 KTM 350XCF for the bush, was planning on selling my 525 MXC.
But the weather has been so crappy and I don't really enjoy 4ft mud holes all day.
I don't ride MX anymore.
So and I figured WTH, keep the 525 and convert it to SM, to get some kind of riding in this year (track).

I'm in the process of re-laceing 17" rims on KTM hubs (front 3.5, rear 4.25)
Bought new Continental SM rubber
I have 310mm Beringer rotor and 4 piston caliper for the front
I installed some UFO peg sliders
Axel sliders are on order
This will be fun, bike should be rideable tomorrow afternoon

BIKE Info:
2005 KTM 525
78mm stroker crank (lightened)
97mm Big Bore jug
41mm carb
Ported head with bigger valves
2006 525SX CDi box

Great website, with great information.

first ride

Just got back inside from my rip around the neighbour hood.
What a hoot, it's just like ice-racing, motor worked good, set-up is not right

Spent all day working on it
I have a 13.5:1 piston in it, and the e-start doesn't start the bike very well.
So, since it's a track bike only, I got pissed off and ripped all the electrics off of the bike
-took off the e-start, battery
-stripped the wiring off to minimal amount of wiring
-installed the beringer 4 piston calliper, took a while to get all the air out
-mounted the SX CDI in the air box, (mounts differently the the MXC CDI)

There is suppose to be a test and tune day on the 27th. I hope its a go.

I need to get the set up better. it feels like the ass end is really high / or the front end is really low / or both.

I will take a picture of the fleet tomorrow.

Pictures of the fleet (sorry about the large pics, I'm forum handicapped)

2011 350 XCF bush bike (springs, map switch, rad guards, fan kit, PMB Sparky, graphic kit) 0.8hrs, I'm so embarrass, "FRICKEN WEATHER"

The old girl cr500 with major plastic surgery (1992 motor, 2002 CRF 450 frame)
1992 bike owned since new
2002 CRF 450, paid 800 for the complete bike
Sold 2-300 worth of parts off it
Roughly 100 in materials
$80 and a case of beer for the machining
$50 starbuck card and paid for lunch for the welding
Better and cheaper then a Service Honda

first SM outting

Took the bike out to a local Kart track with dozen of other riders and had a blast.
It will definitely take a little time to get the bike dialled in.
The field was filled with either dirt bike guys or road racing guys, lots of talent out there.
I can't wait for the next practice.
Only bad thing, a so called friend decided to take a run at me and run me off the track.
Not really how I wanted to figure out if there is logs or stumps or hidden obstacles in the grass, the first time out there.
Great fun, tire were crap, (looking for some racing slicks)
