Hello everyone. I am new here. I have been interested in getting into supermoto. I have some questions though. What kind of bikes are good to use. Are there classes for different sizes? How do you lower your bike like the ones I see on a supermoto race? Thanks!!!

Welcome, new guy. :hello: First, read all you can throughout the site. There is info aplenty here, and nearly all questions have been answered in some form. The Search function works well for this.

Second, you should give us more info on what you want to do with your bike. If you want to race/track day the thing only, you may have different needs than a street rider.

Your tech questions have been handled before, try going thru the Tech forums, and then come back for more info from the crowd. Happy hunting! :arsenal

That wasn't very helpful. I hope that this isn't all the help this site has to offer. How can I give you more info on my bike when i do not have one. The question plainly says WHICH BIKES ARE GOOD TO USE. Not what do I do to my bike. I want to buy one. Or trade my ATV for one. Did you even read what I posted because from what you answered I think you just wrote something

It seems to me like you are coming in here with an attitude, that is no way to get help or make people even want to help you. Most of us work for a living, that is probably why between 12:50 and 2:52PM no one saw your post, Relax. :headshake Then when someone tried to be helpful you came back like this :2hard ....... :wtf:

Ya, could you narrow it down a little? Street use? Track use? Both? Want one ready to ride or do you want to build your own? Spend some time on the site and your questions will be answered. Most of the people around here are very friendly and helpful. But if you insist on the attitude please join "Thumper Talk", you will fit right in with those ahole's :infrandom !!

Wannabe.. where are you located? The race class break downs vary be region. But normally there are classes for just about anything.

What is your background? Road Racer, dirt biker, street rider, "stunta", just plain newby?

Before the collective we can give you an answer on what you might be looking for, we need a few more details.

For the record, there is no 1 answer for anything. Some guys like stock hieght suspension, some guys want things lowered. Some guys leave motors stock, others put $$$ into go fast parts. Some folks are here for the go.. others for the show.

Can you not contemplate the lanquage of english. I plainly state...I have been wanting to get into supermoto. I am new to this. Meaning that I do not know alot about it. I know that I see it on T.V. and the track is dirt and pavement. I see the bikes that are lowered, I would like to get a bike to use for that and try to get into supermoto. I asked if they were classes meaning 250 cc a class for more ccs and a class for less cc. Or is it all just one big class. If that tweaks you...I would hate to see you on a bike.

I have ridden alot of dirt bikes. Raced sometimes also. I would like to lower it. The engine I would not build all the way up probablly but I would like to build up some.

Can't we all just get along?? :boxing:

Yes there are different classes. Some guys run mini motards that are anywhere from 50-125CC. There are also other classes that range from 250-450CC and than an open class with anything from 450 and up to 625/ 660. So I guess it is it up to you to decided on which one you want to run. It seems that 450s are the most popular. As far as bikes go you can get a ktm or husky that is already set up or build something like a CRF or YZF.

Goodluck, either way you go it is tons of fun.
