So, I'm looking to get some good, high visibility, water proof, but can still save my skin pants. I've been ridding around in my insulated Carheart coveralls for sometime now and I'm ready to upgrade. Any ideas or particular brands I should check out? I don't need to look like I just walked out of the Cycle Gear catalog...I just don't want to get hit by a Prius on the way to work and if god for bid I do, I want to live to tell about.

Aerostitch, cortech, and alpine star make nice shit. I like alpine stars messenger jacket and matching pants. Not a break your bank cost.

Pants don't seem like the item of protective gear that would provide the best visibility. A bright jacket or helmet would be better at that job. But if you want pants that can be seen, find some hi-viz stuff like these http://www.motorcyclegear.com/street/pants/textile_pants/icon/patrol_waterproof_textile_motorcycle_overpants.html haha

I wear these pants (tan) on the street as they are very low key and are pretty heavy duty. The ability to zip off the legs into shorts is nice also. They are a little hot though when the temp gets up there.
