Just looking for a rough starting point from you guys with the same bike/setup. Have a 2004 625 SMC, the top of the airbox is off and it also has a vented side cover. It will have an Akrapovic slip on after tomorrow night as well. I got into the carb last night to see what the previous owner(s) have done to it. Here are the current numbers:

Needle: OBDVT with the clip on the 5th position from the top.
Main: 168
Pilot: 52

So far the only problem I've had is the too fat pilot. Thing starts from cold without need of the choke, and I have to be careful from a dead stop because if I'm too loose with the throttle it will cough and die.

Anyone with same bike and similar airbox/exhaust, what pilot should I throw in there, and are the other numbers close to good?

FWIW the 48 pilot worked well for me (had similar mods), as did that main, but I had a different needle. ktmtalk has more info on this than you will ever want to sift through... :)
