My local Aprilia dealer just picked up MZ and really likes them!

He is trying to track down acc. and optional equipment for them. He ordered a bunch of Touratech stuff for his "demo" but I know there must be more stuff available. Can anyone give me a clue on parts, suppliers and part #'s for cool stuff for these bikes so I can help him out. And I might get one next year since the KTM 625 will not be an option.

Here ya go. Alian makes a pipe but it may be a custom jobbe for KSport cycles., but you can get it there. Second, the factory 150 kit consists of a cylender, piston, rings and all the gaskets ya need but is a rip off at $449.00 and only adding 1 horsepower! The best bang for the buck on an MZ 125 is get the cam advance kit from KSport, which consists of a jet kit and the tools needed to advance the cams and buy a 1 tooth smaller countershaft sprocket, and pipe, the thing will be a brand new bike. There is a kit in the works , 170cc, cams, and u can order a Mikuni TM (flat slide) 28mm carb, and do a little porting and it will pull harder than you ever imagined! The kit is going to be available from POweroll soon, I'll keep ya posted as I am in personal contact with the developers there. Please feel to PM me if your dealer needs any more advice, I love this little bike and know quite a bit about it!

Almost forgot!

All you Baggy/Panther owners. What is the streight poop on the motor? I have heard it is a Yamaha XTZ660 but I was told by the fairly incommunicado dealer that it wasn't exactly the same??? What is the difference as he did not expound on this statement when quiered! Ha! I pulled that one outta the hat huh! I'm curious if hop up parts that fit the big yammaha will work on the Baggies.

It has the Yamaha 660 5 valve engine, same as the BP/Baghira. I have a 42 HSR Mikuni Flat Slide carb on this thing but the engine is still stock. Also Penske Shock and Metmachex braced swingarm. Euro tuners are getting up to 80+ hp with bore/stroke mods and custom downdraft heads. The engine is very tunable.

the engine is the Euopean spec XTZ660 engine, with different side cases with MZ logos. there are some differences between the XTZ660 and the Raptor 660. the raptor uses Titanium valves, different sidecases, spin-on oil filter, and different ignition. it also revs much higher. as far as I know, all the internal mods you can do to a raptor, you can use on the XTZ engine. big bore kits, use the titanium valves, there is a twin FCR kit available for the Baggy, and lots of cool stuff from www.tunebike.de

Beautiful swingarm. Who makes it? Ohhh nevermind, I just read the side of it. Nice unit that. I miss my old Sport Cup a lot, shame they still don't make them. =( I'd pick up another one if they did.

I'll contribute to the MZ thread because I have two in the garage (but neither are mine, both are my wife's).

A `97 Skorpion Replica - Stock except for some custom mounted Walker slip-ons.

A '96 Skorpion Sport race bike - LOTS of stuff done to it. Runs the straights on par with my (worked) CR500.
