Hello!

I recently bought a used MZ Mastiff and have just finished restoring it (it was a bit of a wreck). The only thing I've been unable to do successfully so far is bleed the front brake so that the lever is firm (at present it compresses right back the handlebar requiring very little force). I've tried almost everything that I could think of - bleeding, reverse bleeding, cleaning caliper pistons and bores, zip tying the lever to the bar overnight etc etc. Are front brakes on these bikes inherently hopeless or is there a specific way of bleeding out all of the air? Any help or advice would be much appreciated!

Brake

I have had to take the caliper off a race bike I had and hold it above mastercylinder to get it to bleed before. That was after a buddy broke caliper a bleeder and buying new caliper and rebuilding master.
