Second test thread

Hey guys, it is a crappy thing to wake up and have your ride stolen but that is exactly what happened to me today.

I am pissed but am cautiously optimistic that it can be recovered, so if you see this bike around the tracks or anything PLEASE contact me through email or by phone (604.576.6538).

The VIN is ZcGSM45064V001003 if you ever get close enough.

Thanks!

Had my KTM stolen last summer, never recovered. I know what you are going through.

I'm sure you've done this already, but get a couple of buddies and scour the neighborhood, hopefully just a joyrider.

You might want to pm a bunch of the BC/WA members of the group to issue an all points bulletin.

My ATK 605 motard was stolen from the back of my pickup a couple yrs. ago
I put up posters in the hood offering a reward. a couple days later a punk kid called and told me his buddy took it. he led me to the bike (ditched in the woods) I gave the punk a hundred bucks (the only part that sucked)

BUT IT WORKED I GOT IT BACK!
Try it!

That sucks arse !! And that is exactly why I do not keep my bike at the appartment, but at my friends garage.

If I ever catch one unlucky bastard trying to steal my bike he'll end up in the ER for sure ... violating other people's property is the lowest of all things to do.
If they F*ING want something they shall go and work for it like we do.

Isn't it common here in the US, that if you beat the shit out of a burglar in your own house, they can sue you? And most likely you end up paying huge fines or going to jail yourself??

The bike was stolen from home, it was in the car port (no garage) but not visible from the road or anything like that. The Veypor harness was obviously on the bike, but I always take the Veypor with me. I made up a SS bracket (a back plane and a little spot welding) and just velcro'd the Veypor on so that worked quite well. Assuming the bike is not recovered and I do not end up getting another bike this year, you will likely see the Veypor in the classifieds section in the near future.

Chances are the thief has no idea he has such a rare bike (for this area) on his hands.

Make sure you contact the RCMP and let them know everything about the bike, mods, etc. There was a post on BCSB a little while ago about a new program to help recover stolen bikes and stripped parts so it's worth the call. In the meantime if I see the bugger who took it I'll bring you his head on a stick.

Two bikes stolen? Damn, some areas are just bad for theft. I moved from just such an area. Bikes, cars being broke into. Now I see no crime. I have my own house, and things are locked up in the garage. I have heard of people breaking into a vehicle, using the garage opener, and looting houses. Time to buy a gun? :arsenal A yippy dog?

No ignition key I take it. Most supermotos prolly don't have one, not that it would make much difference. The punk prolly can't start it, and will ditch it in the woods somewhere. I would put $100 reward signs up in the neighborhood. Cops can't do nothin' unless the punk is busted doing wheelies or something. Usually a close neighbor stole it. Seeing it, and planning how to steal it. Probably within 3 blocks.

I agree, tie the kid up with a rope and drag him around for a while...

It's a real good idea to look hard core in a three to five block radius, my 650R was stolen last summer so I reported it to the police, loaded up the wave runner & got 5 minutes down the road when they located it. It was about 300 yards from my place, under a mattress in the dumpster area of the apartments next to mine.
GOOD LUCK
