Looks like BBR and FMF both an aftermarket pipe for the little Honda, can I expect any horsepower gains on such a small bike this way. Or for that matter any other way to get more punch outta one of these, my 11 year old is jones 'ng to do a wheelie but the little bike just won't cooperate.

Cam timing, remove airbox replace with UNI pod, remove spark arrestor/gut muffler, rejet. Also check the carb to block gasket, sometimes they're too small and act like a restrictor. And stiffening up the rear suspension obviously makes wheelies easier. And with these little bikes you have to rev em pretty high then dump the clutch. It would take insane work for an XR to just do a power wheelie.

It will mostly depend on how much you want to spend.
You can get kits from a slight overbore to a whole new head cylinder and crank. Im at 170 pounds and mine will power wheelie in second gear on a good day. But ive got one or two things done to it.
As for pipes, ive dynoed two different ones and found that a Jemco pipe makes the most power and torque but its very loud. Its also not your main stream pipe, its a flat track style pipe. It goes under the frame and out the side of the swingarm.
A close second is the CHM pipe. A real nice unit but mine didnt bolt up real easy. I had to install different studs on the head. But then again i dont have a stock head on mine so your results may vary. If you have any more questions just drop me a pm and ill try and help.

depends on who is riding it...

i have a bone stock CR80 and ran nose to tail with a friends KLX166 with a 6 speed tranny, we are pretty close to the same pace. he then went to a twin-roller 138 (one of 2 in the country) and smoked me bad.

all this time another buddy was riding a 125 roller motor and running away from me and nose to tail with the 138, but, he is a national caliber rider.

again, depends on who is riding it...

Ill try and get a pic up there of the Jemco pipe chuck. If i had read your post on this yesterday, i would have brought it with me today for you to see.
Was a good time today and ill make it back in the spring.

If you want more power to pull a wheelie then you need to just learn to wheelie. Once you get the technique youll be wondering what took ya so long. I rode an old clunker 100 out at my friends land and was pulling them up and riding them in 3rd. Just you got to clutch it up and it will come up real fast. try second gear, first is too short, 3rd is alittle harder but second is the best gear to wheelie in and make sure you keep your foot on the brake, once it gets to high then press the brake. also try to keep the throttle smooth. if you chopping it then it will flip real easy because its uncontrolled but jsut keep the throttle steady and its more predictable. Good Luck!

I think that more than likely an 11 year old would have a better chance wheeling an XR100 in offroad trim. A very slight dirt hump in the yard and just practice his timing with the throttle should do the trick.

Beware one tank of fuel will destroy the yard with no problem.

If you cant wheelie the XR 100 then either you are a new beginner or your bike has serious issues. I can wheelie my xr alllllll day and night. That sucker is so fun to wheelie. Power wheelies are no issue...the trick is roll out in 2nd gear and right before the power kicks in pull up a bit, lean back, and crack the throttle hard. That front wheel will come up easy breezy. Have fun practicing!

Yep, you should be able to wheelie a XR100 no problem. My Arrow full-system makes good power and sounds awesome though the K&N filter and jetting helped. I've got a dyno chart around here somewhere I believe it was just over 9hp on a Dynojet 250 with just the exhaust, filter and carb work. I'm looking at the BBR 120 piston/cam/carb kit as well if I don't sell mine soon. A bit more torque off the corner would make the bike a bit more fun!

My 2002 with BBR full pipe and 105 main jet that comes with it runs perfectly. It dynoed at 7.1 hp. After 115 kit with superhead and inner rotor ignition it dynoed at 13.9...let's call it 14 !! Lots more fun and yes the brakes have become a bit of an issue.

hey Spamrot, how much do you weigh? I wish I could wheelie the 100 all day, but I'm not that skilled yet. I used to wheelie an XR80 all over the place, but I was 12 and 110lbs. At 35 I'm a little over 170, but I think switching to light beer will get me back down. Yeah right!:laughingr

same here my xr80 wheelies all day stock or a bit modded, its how you do it i think.

That's a pretty inexpensive kit, wonder what the quality is like, which jets, etc you for the carb? I'd like to hear from anyone who's tried it. It's almost cheap enough to buy and check out. :hmmm: The BBR 120 piston/cam kit & carb is like twice that at dealer pricing - I'm going to contact those guys.

I got the same out of my XR115.

I had mine set up properly on a Factory dyno - we had to rig the thing so it would reach the drum.

Probably one of my most favorite bikes.

Uber' requested a link to that bike build - I'll dig it out and post it later.

i have the trailbikes 115 kit in my 100 the carb is a pile of crap, if you pull off the bowl you better get a dozen gaskets when you buy the kit because they expand 2 times the size from the gas.
i had to play with the jetting and had to run airbox cover off.
you need to get a web cam when you do the kit because they dont have them in the kit.
if you want to get the most bang for the buck get a big head kit with big bore from bbr its way better and well worth the money.
the 120 kit alot of guys are using have to cut the cases and kinda pain in the butt.
a secret pipe is 2 brothers xr80 pipe on the 100
do the inner rotor ignition kit if you want that thing to rev like a 250 four stroke all this stuff together and your riding a crf150r without the pricetag.
