OK,
I just got off the phone with the owner and the track is now open to ALL Supermotos and Minis. P M me for the pricing structure.
He also wants to run a series. In the beginning he wants to run it on the same day as his local cart races so the EMT and corner worker cost are low. If the support is high he will give us our own day of racing. Track days are open Thursday thru Sunday ALL day. there is not any SM only days as of yet. we would alternate with the Kart guys on Sessions.

I just bought a DRZ400SM less than a week ago. It's stock. Can this run on the track there? I've done trackdays before on sportbikes and know the tech inspection procedures, but am new to the tard scene. Anyone have a link or info on this?

Thanks

Yes you can ride it there. Just make sure the usual stuff is safety wired and there is absolutle no antifreeze in the bike. Use water or water wetter. Hope to see you there.

Question Larry, and I mean no disrespect....just curious. Why are you so adamant about running the track clockwise, when its safer to run it CCW?......and faster......?
I understand your questions, and let me explain the best I can.
First,
I go to the track every weekend some times twice a week, this is the direction I can run it. They (the track owners) don't want to run the other direction. Tim, (one of the owners) feels the track was designed to be run in that direction. He has concerns about the fence placements on fast turns and the kink. I DO NOT PUSH THE ISSUE ABOUT THE DIRECTION. I am grateful they let us on the track at all.

Second,
we ran the track CW Saturday and there was no issues with the short fence on turn 15. I understand that is the big corner that seems to be the big deal.

Third,
When SEMRA rents the track I am sure they will let you do as you wish, as far as the direction. I really enjoyed CCW.

Fourth,
It is not my call on the direction. I believe the direction in the past was setup with JC. he has been out of town and Tim was there last weekend, he asked for my help on setting up for the track day and I help with some additional hay bale placements.
as far as faster.... really CCW is faster? You must be better going left. Did you race NASCAR before?:laughingr
I think that the direction deal needs to be minumized and work on the attendance thing. That is if you guys was to use the track more.JMHO
