I have a KTM EXC 125 2007, as everyone probably knows the stock KTM headlight really sucks. I want to switch to a HID setup but I understand I need 12v DC for this, I'm pretty sure the headlight is running on AC at the moment. I think the best solution is to fit a battery as the light also flickers at low rpm. My question is how would I use the stator to charge the battery? I have heard that some of the things on the bike are DC, so how would I go about using this power to charge the battery? I would be very grateful of some help as I've tried my local KTM dealer and he doesn't have a clue as to how I would do it.
Cheers

Sicass Racing or Darryl at Cyclops adventure sports can get you set up.
Might need a stator rewind, recitifier and battery but it's been done before and both of these outfits specialize in KTM lighting and dual sport conversions.
I've used both with good results. Let us know what you end up doing.
