Sent you a PM.

Basically, I had to hack off some of the protruding plastic from the bottom of the new seat (the "nose" that sticks in to the tank recess, and the "slot" where the tab slides in at the base of the tank-I had to let the "tab" slide in further toward the rear).

Once I got the front end aligned, I used a long punch to stick up from underneath the fender and, while holding up the seat, managed to get the punch to meet up with the bolt hole. Then, I pushed the seat down, held it DAMN tight, slipped out the punch and put in the bolt.

It took me about 3 weeks or so of screwin' around with it to finally get it to work. Now, when I switch back & forth from stock the the bigger tank, it just takes a couple of minutes. I still use the punch, though.

comfort seat height

I'm vertically challenged (5,4) so i'm looking hard to find a lower seat. How doesthe comfort seat compare to the stock seat?

The comfort seat is much taller than the stock seat. I would say it raises the seat height by about 2 inches. You're best bet is sticking with the stock seat and maybe lowering the suspension a bit more.

I sent my seat out to replace the foam and had a step cut into it. They took the stock seat and used the seat pan. In the process of cutting the step, you also get a lower seat. Now I have a more comfortable seat and lower seat height as well. Cost about $120 from Custom Ceet.
They did a nice job and turned it around pretty fast...just wish the step would be more pronounced.

Just a thought... couldn't Sonic, or another company that manufactures (or has manufactured on its behalf) springs, make you front and rear lowering springs? The thing is damped so heavily that I would think major revalving would not be necessary, given the shortened travel... Unless the suspension has progressive damping which would make starting mid-stroke very harsh. What do you guys think?
