After some time in the desert Ive come back to ride my 690 SM. I had to replace the battery. I tried to start the bike but nothing but it turning over. I put in more gas but same result. Then I realised I dont hear the distinct sound of the fuel pump. The fuse is good. What could it be???

If the pump is not priming it won't start. How old is the fuel and did you treat it for storage? Maybe it's all gummy and stopping up the pump. If it were mine, I would pull the tank and drain it. Then pull the pump on the bottom right of the tank. Clean it out and replace the fuel filter too. It's not that much work, and I used a NAPA filter that cost a few dollars instead of the crazy expensive factory type. Has been good the last 3000 miles.

Just nock the bottom right side of the tank (where the pump is located) and it will come unstuck, i've done it before :D
