Should I make the jump from Wrenching on bikes to Selling them??
I need some input from the SMJ community.

Well going from steady work to something that fluctuates is a bit sketchy in my book. Now if you did the sales during the day and work on the side at night, that sounds pretty fair. So I guess it depends on how big the city that the dealership is in and how big people are into riding. There are a ton of variables.
+1 on that... especially with a newborn.

A steady paycheck is better than feast or famine. Doood, being married w/children does not mean you have no life, you just have to re-focus on what's really important.

Just let things stabilize and you can go play again.

If I were you, and I am not; see if you can stick with being a tech, then try to make the jump out of the dealership to the corporate tech world.

I knew a guy who after years of bein a Toyota mechanic at a dealership, became a tech for Toyota USA, and suddenly the dude was big time with nice house and nice hours. Only problem with that, was that he had to move around a lot.
