No pilot jet and no allen replacement screws in the dynojet, that will 100% damn near strip removing the stock float bowl screws. Go with the extra $20
James Dean Jet VS Dynojet kit
What are the differences between them? I know from searching that the larger majority on here has the JD kit. and some say its more "complete" than the DJ kit. whats the DJ kit missing that the JD kit supplies? I am a cheap bastard so of course the DJ kit is looking better to me being 20 bucks cheaper. I was just wondering what is so much better about the JD kit?

I don't recall any post about surging or hunting at steady throttle w/ the James Dean kit either. There are hundreds of those type of threads related to the Dynojet kit. James Dean is the ticket for the DRZ.
anyone know where you can get a bigger pilot jet. I was given a DJ kit so i threw that in. Its ok but i think the pilot jet would be better.
James makes his on custom tapered needles, which is part of why his kits work so well. JD kits also come with recommended settings for you bike with various common mods. DJ kits just come with jets & needles etc, you have to figure out yourself.
