http://power-flag.ftw.jp/u53063.html Takegawa 124 with turbo and keihin carb all custom and street legal. In japan the bike stock is 50cc and you register it at the Japan DMZ and pay yearly road taxes on it at the city office. No one checks it or sees it. Plus if you have a car license you can drive it.
I'm thinking the RHF3 would be a better bet. Ball bearing and water cooled center section.

Looks like a guy used an IHI to build a li'l turbo bike, but the thread dies. not sure if it actually worked or not.

thats true, i think you might find yourself with just headaches trying to get the turbo setup tuned right. its worth it if you've got the patience and know-how. but why not consider a TBV2 head?

those drag bikes are sick too! do they run the 1/8 mile?

It's okay to love your bikes, just don't "LOVE" your bikes. I think those guys have crossed the line. Cool but, WTF? It's a 50!

I got a guy that installed turbos on cars. He said he can run the piping for me. I already have a oil cooler I just have to patch it into the turbo.

Piping is easy. the difficult part is getting the carb set up properly.

It looks like someone's got the first closed loop EFI system for a suzuki single up and running for the AMA series.

Turbo Sumo kits aren't far off in the future. I give it 5 years, max.

EFI kits have been available for the last 2-3years for minis. Now honda makes EFI stock on the new supercub which has the same engine as the crf 50 and Honda APE which is the same engine as the NSF 100

Right, but it's just becoming "popular", and has yet to become affordable. when you can justify the additional cost of going EFI, as opposed to an upgraded carb is when you start seeing all the "kits" come out of the woodwork. the first few years of any "new" technology are generally pretty poor, as far as aftermarket support goes. And for EFI to work best on a turbo, whether it's a car, bike, or big-rig, is if it's a closed-loop-system. Most of the first efi's that have come out on "our" bikes, are open-ended, meaning the maps are for a very limited range and don't adjust well to adding aftermarket goodies. The new yamaha 250 street motard is this type of system.
