Hey guys, looking for a recommendation here from someone in the UK. I’ve just bought a new bike! A 2001 570cc Husky, but I didn’t think until now will the new E10 fuel be okay on this older model? I don’t want it to affect my hoses, rubber seals etc..
Nothing on the DVLA government site, as Husqvarna isn’t even a option, can imagine it’ll be fine anyway…
But any advice! Cheers

Hi...

You are right, it can effect to hoses, seals etc. you can use temporarily, but then I do not recommend WOT, because should need jet adjustment, also don´t never leave your bike stand with that fuel long time periods, when usually it clogs the coars and collects the mulch etc etc. So i would recommend use prenium or if you country was fuel where is maks E5 so 5% ethanol and if the bike will stand without any use, use some fuel preservative

we here in California had ethanol blended fuel since the mid 1990's, you can't even buy pure petrol here. I think our's is a 15% ethanol blend. No one has ever had seal/hose issues with our fuel, and we always re-jet because that stock jetting is set from the factory for emission compliance, not performance.

The only negative I have ever noticed is that over time the plastic fuel tank expands, though I do not know if this is due to the ethanol or the age of the plastics.
