Hey Rob, Youngblood here. I think the 250s are just getting started. Sorry I can't be more definitive but I believe there were a few out at etown Saturday. The growth seems to be in the smaller displacement ranks as there were a lot of smaller bikes at etown.

What I can tell you is that everyone had a positive response to the topic when it was brought up in conversation. It definitely has my attention after abusing myself with my heavyweight monster.

Given the number of 450s out there, the 250 class may be less carnage. The AMA including them certainly has gotten everyones attention.

Glad to hear you're local and hope to see you out at the track soon.

Rob,
I have raced with SMUSA in the Lightweight class for the past 2 seasons.
There are usually 8 - 10 riders in our class. I have thought about trying the AMA class, but can't make it happen. Hope to see you at the races sometime.
Are you planning on doing any of the Beaver Run dates ? That track is the BEST

Beaver Run is just outside Pittsburgh, Pa. Don't quote me, but I think it's exit #13 off the Pa. turnpike. Check out their web site. We race on the Wilson (kart)track.
