How do you remove a fork?

I need to remove my left side fork tube (side with the brake) to see what caused the fluid to leak out. I have never removed forks on a bike. Can someone give me the total noob explanation of how to do this? I know the firist step is removing the front wheel. After that, I don't know what to do. I would like to apart as little as possible.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Step 2: Remove brake caliper and brake line hold down bolts and tie off out of the way. Step 3: Remove the 4 triple fork pinch bolts. Step 4: Slide fork down out of triple fork tapping lightly with rubber hammer if needed. Hint: When replacing seals do both sides in case the replacement seals are different. Plus you can measure the amount of fluid in the good side so you know how much to put in the bad side. Use 10w fork fluid. Or bring them both to a shop.
Dont forget about the speedo cable either....unplug it up top and unscrew it from the caliper mount.....comes out pretty easy too.
Never thought of that. None on my racebike. Hint: When dissasembling forks(or anything else) stack the parts in the order they came out.
