I need to remove my left side fork tube (side with the brake) to see what caused the fluid to leak out. I have never removed forks on a bike. Can someone give me the total noob explanation of how to do this? I know the firist step is removing the front wheel. After that, I don't know what to do. I would like to apart as little as possible.
I just finished changing my fork seals and i noticed that there was some crud built up on the left fork tube. it was at the very bottom hidden away behind the caliper bracket... just thinking maybe that crud is what caused the seal to tear.
