its doable, but if you don't have acess to free or cheap machine work it isn't worth it. just did a set for my xr650r. about eight hours of machining. do a search on cast wheels.
you should only need a washer for brake side of f2 wheel on xr650r after its machined all the way down to the bearing. one of the stock f2 spacers will work on the other side if you happen to have it.
