its doable, but if you don't have acess to free or cheap machine work it isn't worth it. just did a set for my xr650r. about eight hours of machining. do a search on cast wheels.
ya....i have free machine work...but i am really looking for anyone that has done this for a crf 450????
WR450

I went with the F3 wheels. The rear is the same as the F2, but the front is way lighter and has a larger rotor. :bike:

it takes some patience and time, if you dont enjoy doing it it really isn't worth it.
For the CRF, doesnt the front fit with just some spacers, but the rear wheels is a big machining job? I thought I heard that somewhere.
the only machining i did on my front was to recess the rotor in a bit to give some room for my caliper. all i had to do after that was cut up some spacers. the rear was obviously the hardest to do and even more so because i kept the cush drive functional. a lot of the other posts of f2 wheels have the cushdrives welded onto the wheel but i wasnt too fond of that idea.

How did you use that stock 276mm disc? What kind of caliper relocating bracket? I hope you dont say you made it, I cant do that! I have my wheel on my CRF front end, it does indeed fit well. I just have to cut the spacers. Thanks
It looks like you can use the stock XRR rear wheel spacers and cut them down to size. The rear axle is the same diameter as the CRF frontend and F2 wheel. The rear spacer fits into the wheel nicely.
you should only need a washer for brake side of f2 wheel on xr650r after its machined all the way down to the bearing. one of the stock f2 spacers will work on the other side if you happen to have it.
yea i made that caliper reallocator, sorry :) im going to assume it would be next to impossible to find one that would work with a stock f2 rotor.

are the xr swingarms wider because i had to take a ton of material off the rear to make it fit? if they are it should make your life a bit easier. goodluck
