So I wanted an easy solution untill I could get my real HID setup together since I do ride at night a good bit. I went with the 45 watt bulb in the stock headlamp but it was not bright enough. I ordered 2 Trailtech m11 (I believe) HID bar mount lamps and a switch from autozone. The only negative is that I have to turn on/off the lights manually (which is not bad if I have to hide from someone... I can still have the bike on). They only drop the voltage from 14v to 13.6 so I believe I am in the clear. I will eventually rewind my stator and get a real hid kit but these put out WAY more light than the 45watt bulb. They look nice too.

The spread was a little wide so I angled them down a bit more as not to blind oncoming traffic... I might make a little plastic shield to put on the top side of the lights to shield them.

they were a bit pricey, 107 each or something of that nature. But when I get my stator rewind and hid I am going to use them for helmet lights (trailtech makes a helmet mount and im going to rig a batter backpack). I will let you know when I need to get the kit, thank you very much!

Julio, it was super simple. Power and ground to the switch, than power from switch to the lights, than negative to the negative batt terminal.
